I'm Jacob Jiang, a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft AI. I work on bringing Copilot experiences to users at scale, with a focus on service reliability, operational readiness, and the balance between product quality and engineering efficiency.
Over the past decade and more, my work has evolved from mobile development to platform engineering and team leadership. I've helped deliver AI products for a global audience and built identity and account experiences at billion-user scale. I care about turning complex engineering challenges into dependable, intuitive experiences.
Outside work, I enjoy exploring new technology, sports, playing music, and writing about products and the world around us.

Led and mentored a team of more than 20 engineers, driving successful delivery of Android sign-in, account migration, and recovery experiences. Partnered across teams to integrate identity capabilities at billion-user scale, with a focus on sign-in reliability and account recovery.

Held software engineering, mobile development management, senior engineering management, and architecture roles at ZTE, Archermind, RingCentral, and NetEase, moving from client development into engineering leadership and platform development.
